Pre-cut and pre-core scans for rebar, post-tension cables and conduit. Delivered across Vancouver by GPR Leak Detection, a Leak.ca division.
604-239-9934Same-day response in VancouverBefore sawing, coring or drilling into a structural slab, wall or column, GPR scanning identifies the rebar, post-tension cables, conduit and any voids hidden inside. The cost of cutting blind into a PT cable or a live conduit is enormous — both in repairs and in safety. We deliver concrete scans for general contractors, MEP trades, plumbers, electricians and forensic engineers. Marks are placed directly on the surface at the scan, with a thickness estimate where called for. We work in occupied buildings, on tower podiums, and on infrastructure jobs where downtime is unaffordable.
Locating private utilities before excavation in dense rights-of-way, concrete scanning for towers and parkades, void detection in older fill areas.
Vancouver's built environment — high-rise concrete towers, wood-frame walk-ups, character single-family homes and pre-war duplexes — shapes how concrete scanning is delivered locally. Vancouver mixes 1910s heritage homes with 60-storey concrete towers, so leak investigations vary enormously between properties. Heritage neighbourhoods like Kitsilano and Strathcona tend to show old copper and galvanized failures; downtown and Yaletown towers more often have slab penetrations and envelope failures behind window-wall systems.
